Bergslagens Old Tom Gin

Old Tom (an “Old Black Cat”) comes from the wooden catsfigures that sat on the wall outside of some pubs in London in the 18th century. By putting a penny in the cat’s mouth, you got a shot of gin out of the cat’s paw. Old Tom Gin is sweeter than the classic London Dry and became very popular in the 18th century in England.

Bergslagens Old Tom Gin is made from the same distilled gin as our Classic Gin but with a little bit more juniper. We have also added some sweetness after the distillation, as you always do with your Old Tom Gin. The sweetness elevates the flavours and gives the gin more taste and makes it smoother.
